The Confidence Building, Sensitization and Mobilization programme of the Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute on its final leg on the Island berthed at the Lagos Island Zonal Headquarters of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS z) on the 28th of May, 2020.



The LETI Team by Prince Ifalade Ajasa Oyekan, the Head of LETI was on hand to present the New Vision of LETI, which he said is in conformity with the vision of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu which is pivoted on a flowing Transportation system, Safety and Security of lives and properties of residents of Lagos State among others under the THEMES Agenda.



Prince Oyekan while introducing the New LETI Vision approved by Mr. Governor to the Officers and men at the Forum reiterated the assurance that the Agencies will be better prepared and equipped to perform their statutory duties to Lagosians with less stress through the introduction of new technologies training techniques and modules. 



Oyekan thanked the Governor for the initiative of the Body Camera as part of the equipment to be deployed in tackling the incessant violent attacks on Law Enforcement Officers, while also reducing to the barest minimum cases of misconduct on the part of the Officers.  He also informed that LETI is fully ready to introduce and train the personnel of the Agencies on the proper deployment of the body camera.



The Head of the Law Enforcement Institute also informed the Officers that the Modules and training techniques have been changed with input from field Officers in order for the annual mandatory training to be impactful.



Falade also pointed out that the Men and Officers will henceforth undergo training's regimes that directly impacts on their specific tasks and duties as an Officer and Agency, stating that, each Agency will concentrate on obtaining relevant training in related fields.



Earlier, the men and Officers were sensitized on the need to raise the bar in their service delivery, without compromising the ethics of their profession, while ensuring their personal safety while on duty, especially as the Pandemic continues to ravage the globe.



In the response, the Area Commander of the Lagos Island sector comprising, Eti-Osa, Victoria Island and Lagos Island, Engr. Balogun thanked the Head of LETI and members of his Team for the visit, stating that the forum was the first of its kind in the history of the relationship between the Agency and the Institute.



He on behalf of the men and Officers of the VIS promised to justify the effort of the Institute and the investment of the Lagos state Government in the agency through the delivery of effective and efficient service to the people of the State.
