The Director General-of the Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute LETI, has said rebranding is a compulsory continuous process for Law Enforcement Agencies.
While speaking at the training Workshop for new Officers of the Lagos State Waterways Corp, Ifalade said the Institute has become a test case for studies in rebranding Law Enforcement with yearly introduction of new ideas to match the trending challenges in the State and conform with global advancement in Law Enforcement.
Oyekan pointed out that the Lagos State Government has several contending developmental challenges further compounded by the paucity of funds caused by the global pandemic and other economic issues.
He further stressed that the Lagos State Waterways Authority led my Mr. Damilola Emmanuel as a modern Institution is rebranding itself and that is one of the reasons for the employment of the new officers.
"Apart from the rebranding of LASWA by your relentless General Manager, your employment as Law Enforcement Officers was necessitated by the kind of attention the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu places on the safety and security of lives and properties and you can only reward him and the good people of Lagos with dedication to your work", he concluded.
The Head of the Research, Development and Innovations Unit of the Institute delivered a paper titled qualities of an effective professional Law Enforcement Officers.
