The Head of Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute- LETI, Prince Ifalade Oyekan has reiterated the commitment of the Institute to fostering excellence as mandated by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State. While thanking the Governor for his magnanimous support for the Institute, Oyekan pointed out that the THEMES Agenda is a clear pointer to the expectations of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as regards the professional conduct of Law Enforcement Officers of the State and LETI with the responsibility of training the Officers cannot do less. Ifalade while presenting the Winners of the first ever LETI 2020 Excellence Award with Plaques and cash rewards said, " we will continue to spur excellence, especially from members of staff of the Institute, because excellence can only come out of excellent people." Plaques and monetary gifts were presented to the pioneer Awardees Justina Aniefiok, Ismaeel Odulana and Temitope Akinlabi who were adjudged first, second and third best performers for year 2020 respectively. In their response, the Awardees thanked their colleagues for their support and commitment, while hoping to do more in subsequent years. As a token for his leadership, the members of staff also presented Prince Ifalade Oyekan a thank you gift, which they described as a means of appreciating his effort as the Team leader. Prince Ifalade Oyekan appreciated the guidance of the Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) and the entire staff of the Ministry of Justice for the well orchestrated supervision of the Institute. He again thanked the members of staff for their thoughtfulness, while he further implored them to do more to make LETI better in coming years. " "We are all Awardees today; those we called out are just our representatives and I hope they know that it is easy to climb to the top, but it will be difficult staying at the top", he concluded.
